Def Jam: Fight for NY: The Takeover is a 3D fighting game developed by AKI Corporation and EA Canada for the PlayStation Portable (PSP). It was released in 2006 and is a porting (a version adapted for a new platform) of Def Jam: Fight for NY, released for home consoles two years earlier.
Interestingly, despite being released later, Def Jam: Fight for NY: The Takeover is a prequel (recounts earlier events) to Def Jam: Fight for NY. However, you will find many of the same characters and settings in both games.
